Did You Know?

A world of scholarships is available to students who attend Apollo Career Center. Apollo students who were pursuing a two- or four-year college degree have received national, regional, state and local scholarships. Other students have received career-related awards. Apollo students are eligible to receive all scholarships for which they qualify at their home schools or at Apollo.

A number of student organizations at Apollo provide opportunities for developing leadership and other skills. Community service projects are also valuable experiences for students.

Membership are offered in:

  • BPA
  • DECA
  • FCCLA
  • FFA
  • National Career Technical Honor Society
  • Student Government
  • Skills USA

Students in Carpentry, Construction  and Equipment Technology and Landscaping/Turf Management work together to complete a house from frame to finish each year.

Transportation is provided from the home high school to Apollo and back each day. Students may also drive to Apollo.

Special Education and Vocational Evaluation services are provided.

At Apollo you'll receive personalized training by an outstanding staff who genuinely care about the success of each student.

Advisory committees representing business, industry and the community meet each year to provide input and direction to each of Apollo's training programs.

Along with laboratory courses, students at Apollo also take academic courses. Applied communications, applied mathematics, algebra, social studies, principles of technology, biochemistry, employability and computer application courses help build skills for success.

Apollo has signed agreements with several local colleges which have agreed to grant actual college credits for some courses offered at Apollo. This gives our students a head start if they choose to go on to college after graduation.

Apollo has a very active school-to-careers and placement office. Our staff has strong relationships with many area businesses and has had great success finding job leads for our graduates in their chosen careers. Local employers have been very happy with our graduates.

Depending on their schedules, students at Apollo can participate in the athletic and other extracurricular activities of their home high schools.
