Learn advanced skincare techniques and join the in-demand field of esthetics
The Esthetician program at Apollo Career Center provides the hands-on training, practical experience, and industry support it takes to become a skilled, professional Esthetician. This licensure program will help students to obtain credentials as an Esthetician with the Ohio State Cosmetology and Barber Board. Students will complete a 600-hour (35 week) curriculum that provides advanced training in skincare practices, makeup application, hair removal, anatomy, safety, chemistry, and infection control practices. Students may qualify to participate in clinical internships and salon visits throughout the program. In addition to working in a salon or spa, licensed Estheticians are in high demand throughout the travel industry and in various positions. Students will gain experience in salon operations and build skills that they can apply to their careers as an independent contractor or commission based esthetician. Prior to program completion, students will have the opportunity to obtain additional certifications including CPR/First Aid and Certified Tanning Operator.
