Our Spa Technology course prepares students for a career in both Manicuring and as an Esthetician
The Spa Technology Program at Apollo Career Center provides the hands-on training, practical experience, and industry support it takes to build a dynamic career in both Manicuring and as an Esthetician. Students will complete a 800-hour (35 week) curriculum that provides training in skincare and nail care practices. This dual licensure program will help prepare students to obtain credentials in both Manicuring and as an Esthetician with the Ohio State Cosmetology and Barber Board.
Students will complete an 800-hour curriculum that provides advanced training in:
- Manicuring
- Pedicuring
- Artificial nail enhancements
- Skincare practices
- Makeup application
- Hair removal
- Anatomy
- Safety
- Chemistry
- Infection control practices
Students may qualify to participate in clinical internships and salon visits throughout the program. In addition to working in a salon or spa, licensed Manicurists and Estheticians are in high demand throughout the travel industry and in various positions. Students will gain experience in salon operations and build skills that they can apply to their careers as an independent contractor or commission-based manicurist and esthetician. Prior to program completion, students will have the opportunity to obtain additional certifications including CPR/First Aid and Certified Tanning Operator.
Course Tuition and Fees – $6,300 plus $30 registration fee
Tuition includes classroom materials, supplies, exam preparation and Ohio State Cosmetology and Barber Board examination application fee and work permit fee. Toolkits are non-returnable and non-refundable.
