Back to School

The start of the school year is always an exciting time at Apollo Career Center. High school classes start the end of this month and the fall adult education classes start in September. We are rolling out a new high school program, Automation and Robotics, which is part of Apollo’s ongoing efforts to meet the need for highly skilled workers in manufacturing.

The 2022-23 school year was completed with 2002 high school credentials earned, and 756 licenses and industry credentials issued to adult full-time students. Over 70 high school students signed up for apprenticeships will be meeting over the summer. After completing all of the necessary paperwork, these seniors will be ready to start the two week on, two week off schedule in the fall.

Apollo Truck Driving Academy is offering a new service in Wapakoneta. A CDL testing site is located at 14506 Moulton New Knoxville Rd. The facility will be open Monday thru Friday 8:30 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. To schedule an appointment email [email protected], or call 419-738-7400.

We are appreciative of the collaboration we rely on to offer great opportunities to Apollo students. Apollo is also fortunate to have the support of local representatives Senate President Matt Huffman and Representative Susan Manchester. Both have worked hard to address many workforce issues with new initiatives in the state budget.

Sincerely,

Keith Horner
Superintendent, Apollo Career Center
