Greetings from Apollo

Time is certainly flying as we are finishing up a very busy fall and are staring down the holiday season.

The Allen Economic Development Group (AEDG), in partnership with many other organizations and businesses, sponsored MakerFest 2023 at the Allen County Fairgrounds. The theme was MakerFest – Your Path. Your Future.  Over 1300 freshmen and sophomores experienced necessary career skills through hands-on activities lead by area businesses. Apollo was happy to support an event that provides students with career exploration, pathway information and highlights the opportunities right here at home. Kudos to AEDG and everyone involved in MakerFest 2023!

We appreciate the support from the State of Ohio and its Workforce Development initiatives. To keep these efforts relevant, the Office of Workforce Transformation is requesting feedback from employers. Please complete THIS SURVEY from the Governor’s Office of Workforce Transformation to assist their efforts.

Apollo’s Adult Education division has completed and received its COE Accreditation. This is an arduous 18 month process that assures quality and integrity in career and technical education.

The Garden Cafe and Cosmetology Salon are open for customer service. These storefronts provide excellent training opportunities and needed licensing hours for our students. If you are local, we invite you to take advantage of their services.

Lastly, Apollo Career Center is accepting nominations for the Alumni Hall of Fame.
